Dallas ICP
We launched on September 5th! The ICP Leadership Team met that day to begin community-building and kickstart their interfaith leadership training.
Sacred Space visits began on September 19th. So far, we have visited the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple in Frisco and the Ismaili Jamatkhana in Plano. We are excited for our upcoming visit to the Dallas Indian Mission United Methodist Church, though it will be a smaller event and is now closed to registration. The next open visit is scheduled on February 6th at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas. In the neighborhood? Please join us! And don't forget to RSVP here, it's required.
Here's the overview brochure that tells you about each site we will visit and more about the ICP interfaith program in general.
The Dallas ICP has been the product of intensive research and meetings with religious and interreligious leaders, and city stakeholders. It's designed for focused impact, especially to address the Dallas north-south divide, deepen understanding of the city and its inhabitants, address issues of land and communal histories, and build understanding, humanization, and belonging that inspires positive action.
We thank the incredible Thanks-Giving Foundation, GFF Design, and Dialogue Institute for their generous and unwavering partnership in this project.
We'd be remiss if we did not mention our connected National Endowment of the Arts "Our Town" public art grant that will run parallel to the Dallas ICP. Click here to learn more about this public art initiative.
If you would like to be a partner with us or help to sponsor this program, please email our Executive Director, Dr. Vanessa Avery, at vanessa@sharingsacredspaces.org or call 203-609-3914.
